47th Annual Show L.A. Roadster Show

I am thinking of attending one of the largest roadster shows, and swap meets in Southern California.

It is this weekend on Father’s Day, June 18th and 19th in Pomona, CA. At the Pomona fairgrounds. Yes a little farther than Long Beach, but well within the spear of Long Beach’s influence.

When I talked to the people at the Roadster Club they told me one of the new features of this year’s show will be that they are in Exhibitor Building #4. It will be interesting to see how this improves the show experience. On their website it also say “the show will have a new look and be located in the inner fairgrounds.” Which the website said was more beautiful than where it’s been held in the past.

Their website also says this is the “West Coast’s largest trade show.”

The website instructs Roadsters to “Enter through main Gate #1 off McKinley Avenue.” And says “the main attraction will be the hundreds of 1936 and older open cars of all types and makes; some original, some modified, but all of the highest quality and completely finished with glossy paint, painstakingly restored to the owner’s preference.”

If you’re driving a Roadster admission is free, but passengers pay $20 if they’re over 12 years old.

Specialty Parking is for Pre 1975 cars only. These cars can enter at Gate #15 off Arrow Highway. Classics, hot rods and other special interest cars will be entered in this parking area, forming a huge car show. It’s suggested that this is a perfect place to bring cars for sale. So if you’re looking to buy or sell it may be worth a trip to Pomona this weekend.

Spectator should enter at Gate #9 off White Avenue. There will be tram service available. Show hours for both Saturday and Sunday will be 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

I believe I read that admission is $20 per day and parking is $10.
