You said you want music too. Okay there will also be live surf bands play throughout the day.
And food, yep we like to eat when we marvel at the cars of year gone. Come on out to see an important part of history and groove to the surf beat while eating classic california cruising. Oh I mean cuisine. The menu sword fish and Italian sausage sandwiches and for those who are not so gastronomically adventurous there are Hamburgers, hot dogs and soft drinks.
It’s a tossup which to attend the Toyotafest all Toyota car show or the all woodie car show in San Pedro
We are finishing the week of Seal Beach Car Show coverage. I will still post some video and photos after Friday, but I hope to have new video and photos from this weekend’s Long Beach car show. That is Saturday May 7 2011
Before the photos a little news
I am also waiting for a call from the ACT Expo people. if I can get to the ACT Expo I will give you the lowdown in video and pictures. That will mean LongBeachCarShow.com will not only have great cars of the past, but also cars of the future. I do wonder how battery technology will hold up to time. I doubt if current batteries will be available in 50 years. I’m sure classic car collectors of the future will find some kind of workaround.
Here are a few classic cars of today from the 2011 Seal Beach Car Show
2011 Seal Beach Car Show. Yep this show is mighty close to long beach. I’ve got a few stories to tell of the Long Beach / Seal Beach border, some of which have to do with fishing. I can tell you the fishing stories, but the others may be more interesting.
A lot of Classic cars and even more people
Seal Beach anticipates a crowd of over 20,000 people. Where are all those people going park their not so classic cars in the quaint, but small town of Seal Beach? Parking is tough enough on a regular week end.
The cool thing is they plan on having over 500 Classic cars. Yes, that may lure me to parking hell. Although I could go to what I think will be a more relaxed, Temple City car show.
The Seal Beach Car Show promises to have at least 20 categories of classic cars. That sounds good. Better yet, it’s “Absolutely Free for visitors.”
